And then I just bought Doom Eternal because it was 25% off on PSN, and when I started the game, I was greeted with an unskippable login screen for Bethesda.net. What the hell?

They tried this shit with Doom 1/two/three before, so patched it out later criticism, only to put this into Doom Eternal? What were they thinking? And information technology doesn't even offer any real value for us, it'south just an try to get our information. Which puts information technology at risk of getting leaked.

Bethesda has been doing this with all their games recently and it's seriously annoying and stupid to load a game and be greeted with "please brand a bethesda business relationship before continuing"

The only reason for this is to study PADDED numbers to their investors. Aforementioned manner W10 was forced onto others dorsum then with the constant nagging to force an upgrade.

I don't think any other publisher does this for their games, atleast for me.

I dropped this game at the penultimate boss fight and I'm not really sorry near it. It'south a diamond in the shit. There's really expert $.25 but so at that place'southward a lot of... meddling.

Story is awful...has no real purpose. No spoilers but its downright ridiculous how they warp you lot way in the future after you only went through all yous did with Dr. Hayden in Doom 2016....Catastrophe is lame doesn't live up to what 2016 paved the way for. Dr Haydens being in this game is similar it was done by another team who didn't play the first. And the Hub earth, WTF was that?

Combat is solid. Discharge, Bombs, rip and tear over and over is a must or you're dead. I liked it better when you just needed to rip and tear. Those other two are mandatory at present. I but dont think its as good every bit 2016.

Does running your PS4 offline non work? I sidestepped this requirement on Steam past playing the whole game in offline mode. Pretty atrocious if this isn't allowed on consoles.

Yeah I hated this when I first played it in March too. Ended up just using an former e-mail address that doesn't get used just like I say I hate that it'south even a matter.

Well OP this just a picayune taste of how PC Era deals with multiple stores/launchers BS and as compared to that this but peenuts and every bit far as I recall once you make a bethesda account, it automatically signs you lot in every fourth dimension you open the game next fourth dimension and yous don't fifty-fifty have to worry about a split up software to launch with it and other bugs related to it.

With that said tho, for sometime games similar Doom 1, 2, it really doesn't brand sense to assemble actor data but for new AAA games like these companies do tend to utilize role player data to gauge stuff and yeah whether you lot like it or non, other companies might start doing this in the futurity equally well.

Oh cool, I can vent hither.

Something feels.....off.....about this game. I should beloved it with the multifariousness of means and weapons and combos y'all can pull off put it just feels meh and the story is fucking weird.

I even popped in 2016 and am having more fun with that, to be honest.
